well da smak theres a bit to think about there about revving it cold, you can think that taking it easy when cold and warming up slowly doesnt damage it, and you can think that the faster it warms up, the faster the pinch is lost from the expanding sleeve, two ways to look at it from two different perspectives, all opinions, i usually try to get my engines to temps as fast as i can without revving them hard so i'm a bit heavy on the throttle, i just don't let it revv up until its warm, and 2D thanks for the advice on the plugs, i was planing on dabling with some 30% next lot of fuel i get so i'll have a look into gettign some LRP 5's.

I would run LRP #5 24/7 if they were available here. I've owned 5 LRP Spec III's and I always take the stock plug, the LRP #5 and set it aside while I break them in. I save that one for racing. I'm breaking in LRP Spec III #5 on the stand this evening.

even when the low speed is very close to the limit of being to lean, the idle drops off as if to rich, it will start easily again, but then stall if not given throttle, even with up to a 2 mm idle gap,

got it all sorted, changed the plug to an LC3 and that sorted the idling problem, and then it was just a matter of getting it tuned right, run outa daylight once i'd fiddled around with the plugs for a while though so this weekend maybe, gonna have to look into the LRP 5 plugs.
