Id say TT ST1, I have had experience with the Hell Fire, and wasn't the best.

TT ST1 is bullet proof, head over to the TT ST1 forum and check it out.

Are these the only models that you are intrested in, otherwise id' say look at the Ofna Hyper ST (Ho Bao Hyper ST).

HPI hellfire IMO is way overpriced. Only good deal with the hellfire was the SS kit they had a while back for $250? Now it's like $500!

i think tt st-1 will be my choice!
i have already take a look on the hyper st but here in portugal is around 150 eurƵs expensive then the tt st-1.

i have another question too.
i have a lrp.28zpec3 with losi backplate, does that engine fit on the tt st-1 with this spin start option instead using rotostart or a starter box?

regards and thankĀ“s for the tips and answers.

With the LRP .28 you also need this backplate and you need a .12-.16 spinstart backplate.

I am still not 100% sure it will work without having to shim/spacers/washers it higher might just have to add 2 on each screw hole thats all. Other then that will work just fine

I just bought a Robitronics Mantis a few days ago. So far, I like it a bunch!! Comes with an Axial .28, and looks to be a decently solid vehicle.

I was going to buy a new Hellfire that my LHS had on sale, but it sold before I got there and the Mantis was marked down to an attractive price.

Only thing I don't like about the Mantis that the Hellfire has was the recessed engine mount screws on the bottom of the chassis. Should make a big difference when running on asphalt (which I often do).

If the Hellfire had been available, I'd have likely picked it. It was originally marked at $599.00, but was on a manager clearance special for $450.00. The Mantis had been marked $449.00, but was able to pick it up for $399.00. So far, I've installed a high torque steering servo and gotten the engine through break-in. I'll start leaning it out once the weather clears up around here.
I was impressed that the Axial engine fires on the second pull of the starter cord each time!! Even with the engine set at the VERY rich factory setting. I've yet to have another nitro RC that will do that!!

When you do, please PM me so I'll be aware!! I'd love to take a look at your vehicle! I really would like to do some updates to my Mantis (even though it's brand new), but have had a bit of a difficult time locationg many aftermarket parts.

@timaneli

I have the LRP in my ST-1 and it fits perfectly. I use a starter box. So I can't comment on the fit with the roto start.

If those are your only 2 options, then the st-1 hands down.
