MUGGY or X-1 CRT Can't Decide.
I can't decide which one to buy, I plan on 90% racing and 10% bashing. But we are not talking pro racing here. My track is a local dirt track with jumps and banks. The track is pretty big. And there are probablly 15-20 people turning out every week so I want to be competitive. Thanks.......

get what you want man, but in my opinion, if your going to race, go with the jammin, but get whatever u like best because you will be happier with whatever you like more.

lol sorry, i was trying to say you should get what you want and what you like the best.
i would pick teh jammin because it has proven itself to be a winner, it has tuns of hop-ups and upgrades for it. and it is just an all around better racer than the muggy would be. the jammin can also handle a beating if you plan on bashing to.

Phattracker, if you like the Muggy you can make it your racer. I had one and it may be heavy but it's not slow. And the Muggy takes some serious abuse, very durable. Something I didn't like about the Muggy is the clutch issues out of the box. Maybe Losi has fixed this somehow but I really doubt it. I put a Fioroni clutch in it and I loved it.
Now, I've never owned a X-1 CRT. But to me, your 2 choices for a racer are more basher truggies. If you want a decent RTR racer look at the Thunder Tiger for $300. A friend of mine has one and it seems to be a solid truggy. Also if you were gonna spend $500 on your 2 choices why not step it up a hair and get the Losi 8ight T RTR for $599? You are making a huge step in the "competitive" direction with the 8ight T.

CRT x 100, the 2 muggy's at my track are hopelessly outclassed in the truggy field, one even requested to be allowed to race with the MT's (denied). The Hong Nor CRT is getting on a bit but it still wins, the lap record and the reigning champ at my club is a X1CRT.

I can't really remember why ther'ere two, but Hong Nor and Ofna are almost the same, at least the X1 CRT's are, Hong Nor just sells them in Europe, where Ofna sells them here.

Hong Nor ( Jammin ) , is under the umbrella of Ho Bao ( Ofna ).
Its just marketed as a differient name in the US.
Otherwise, same company.

Gives the Americans a more American sounding name than Hong Nor, the truggies are the same, except the Jammin version comes with a bady photocopied manual with Hong Nor rubbed out and replaced with Ofna, the Hong Nors manual is bright and glossy. The HongNor version also has a chassis number (for product support) and 1 peice engine mount but comes with mediocre tyres, the Jammin comes with Crimefighters.
