I ordered the 1017 should I use this for the steering servo and tranfer the factory steering servo too the throttle or should I buy a different servo for steering? Any sugestions on steering servo is the 1015 sufficient enough? Thanks for advice?

I use the DS1313 on my X1 CRT (Heavier) and it turns it great. The DS1015 should be used as a steering servo, and transfer your stock steering for throttle and brake.

Why do you want to go high dollar on the throttle, are you having any problems or need better throttle response? I just won the Amain at our track two race weeks in a row using the JR650 from my sons RTR off the steering, which I moved to my throttle. My son is running well with a 10 year old JR 4031 analog servo on throttle. I have the 1015 Ace on his steering and a Hitech 5955TG on my steering, but think a $100 servo on the throttle is overkill big time. By the way, my backup throttle servo is a $12 Hextronic digital metal gear 12 kg*cm servo from Hobby City, LOL.

cherokee180c....racer's like Fast Responsive Throttle servo's for the fact the motor Does WHAT u tell it to when i tell it to.....2ndly a 650 is Insanely slow compared to what most guys run on throttle and IMO is Underkill ...i could'nt STAND testing buddy's new truck that had RTR servo's in it....it was Night and day in motor characteristics...it Just didnt cut it....and u KNOW a 100$ throttle servo isnt gonna give up in the middle of a main for no reason....RTR servo's fail ALL the time...there almost Guarenteed to fail at some point.

I hear you, but still think there is no way you need a $100 servo on the throttle if you set it up correctly. You can get a plenty fast analog servo for $40 that will do the trick. Most people can't tell the difference between a .13 second and .18 second servo on the throttle servo anyway and yes I have the Ace 1015 on my steering, so I know how fast it is. Especially with Nitro where the tuning of the LSN and HSN needles/glow plug choices have as much if not more to do with throttle response.
I think a lot has to do with your driving style. I am a very smooth driver on the throttle and get over 11 minutes on my GoTech .21 7port under race conditions. I just tested it with the 7.5mm carburator last week and got over 13 minutes on our track. The driving line I take means I almost never need instantaneous throttle response anyway, so maybe it is just that the response time of my servos matches my driving style more than anything else.
As for the reliability we have been racing 10 weeks on both 8T's with Zero failures on throttle or steering. You can really reduce the stress on the throttle servo if it is set up properly, especially the brake side. Almost every 8T I look at at the track has their throttle setup wrong!!! Either they have not done the oring, radio box mod right, have the EPA's way off, have no gap at idle or full speed, have way too much brake throw, etc. A guy just fried his $100 steering servo just last week as he thought it was a good idea to put rubber under the battery box to stiffen it up.

.08 seconds at 6V is balistically fast and pretty much top of the heap. Let the other guys talk to the torque though as I have not run the cars enough to know if that is enough for long term reliability. I think it is close to the edge and I might want closer to 100 on the torque, but let others comment.

RE: Losi 8ight T Throttle Servo Uograde
yes and No cherokee180c....a 100$ servo is Guarenteed to last alot longer then a cheepo 30$ analong will......u say most guys wont notice the difference...Give em a choice and they will For Sure....a Slow servo makes the truck feeel sliggish and not be ON THROTTLE when u tell it too.......i had a 590 on a LST thottle once and it was SUCH A DOGGG....i could'nt beleive how slow it was compared to what im used to....the radio tray can help or hinder in the throttle servo dept....if u jack the servo up too much ull mess up the linkaes....if u dont raise up the servo u potentially are bottoming it out on the chassy...I run the CF brace on both bug and trug with great suscess...not 1 blown servo yett....but then again i DO custom build my linkages.
