I just saw a link the other day that explains how to mod that exact starter box to work with the 8T but I can't find it now. It involves removing the screw that fastens the lid down. Then removing the peg bar and dremeling off the material on the bottom that slides in the groove. This allows you to scoot the peg bar further out. You then put the screw through the peg bar and into the hole that is used to fasten the lid down. This gives you enough room to align the pegs. Not sure if that make sense or not.

There's also another simple method that involves cutting a piece of L shaped aluminum stock to the same width as the flywheel opening. You then bolt this piece into the starter wheel slot so it lines the flywheel hole up to the starter wheel.

Not sure if any of that makes sense but it will at least bump it to the top for others to see
