8ight T RTR upgrades???
hey fellas, a mates selling a 8ightT RTR with a Faast 3PM radio a few bodies etc, im very interested in it as im wanting to move to truggies and the price is right wherei want it.
Are there any weak points on the RTR? Anything that needs upgrading to pro standards? How are the diffs? etc, any help would be greatly appreciated cause im very close to buying it from him and want to get ideas on what needs doing. Thanks

RE: 8ight T RTR????
It's used, so it may have some of the "necessary" upgrades already. Most guys that I know swap out the plastic shock caps with alloy ones. The other thing is to make sure you fill the diffs with oil. They come from the factory with just some grease in there. I would imagine the other guy has probably already done that.

RE: 8ight T RTR upgrades???
ok so looking over amain for pro parts
So far i have added the rear alloy bearing retainer, spare knuckles front and rear, spindles etc, the normal wear parts.
Looking at the radio tray stiffeners, which is a good 1? Theres so many of them, carbon, alloy, everything haha
Ive found a few
Kingheads CNC alloy
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/11534
Xtreme racing carbon
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/11668
Ultimate products alloy
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/10908
Also il be getting the Pro shock towers and chassis from ebay, as there just to $$ from amain.
Also what are some good clutch shoes to run in the stock setup? Cheers

I run 4 composite with green springs with a smooth and quick acceleration ... or depending on a shorter track I would use 2 green and 2 gold ... you might see you prefer other set-ups ... you can go to losi.com and look up set up sheets although I dont know for sure if they have truggy set up sheets ... I bought the rtr and have built it into the race roller one piece at a time ... like you said ebay seems to have about a fifty percent markdown on items on average that we win ... just a great way to keep racinig as much as possible ... untill we get sonsered lol . . .
