Gaiz... How does the X2 chassis handle the big 28 ? my good buddy has a X2 on the way and we are mounting one of my modified JPX .28's... its his first Truggy so we have a few concerns of overpowering the chassis...... I am tuning the JPX's timing right now and I am curious how wild i should make this motor.....
i was going to ask the same question .. i normaly run a rb ws73 motor (. 21 size ) but have just bought a os28xz to try for the , wintery / damp days .. just wondering about diff oils , clutch bell etc .. im using 10f 15c 3r at the mo with the rb21 ... cheers

Super, the chassis loves to be loaded with power.! Throw all you have at it.
It'll wheelie down the straights and Ill garuentee you that .

BUT IMO, the X2 is better suited with a .21 in. I had my JP B7T ( Its not a powerfull motor, but damn thing can rev) in there a few days ago and it just hauled ass down the track.!

You can really experience the car with a good 21 in there, I threw the XZ in there just for pure insanity

If I were you, id throw in one of your .21's. The only thing to watch out is the diffs, if they arent shimmed correctely, you'll loose a lotta power.

Other than that, go as insane as you can, you'll really enjoy it.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Why is everyone trying to re-create my truggy LOL.

Diffs for me, 7 - 30 - 3, and clutch bell is a 14T Vented Bell. I need teh XZ to come out slowly.!

Guys, just a note about Spiral Cut Diffs. IMO You cant run them the same as you can with normal ones.

Spirals LOVE to be hurled forward, the minute you run them backwards, they start to strip ( Interior Gears ). I just blew a rear diff in to the sky yesterday because of the XZ, Too many spin outs at the track, and bye bye diff. Rebuilding one as I type this.

Learnt my lesson, always keep 1 set of shocks and 2 diffs ready with no oil in them, so if anything does happen, you just oil them up, and go .

Otherwise, all good in X2 land .

Hi,

I just finished my X2 and don't know what to do with the antenna tube. Should I trim it down enough that it fits underneath the shell? If so, what do I do with the excess antenna wire - leave it in the radio box, or else leave it dangling from the end of the antenna tube? In case it matters, I have a Spectrum 3R with the stock receiver.

Thanks,

Steve

I have the dx3r and fold my antenna back under the rear shock tower so it's under the body, I still have very good range as well. The tube has was cut in half.

What I do with my Nomadio Transceivers is wrap the antenna around the inside of the radio box none of it out side. Have zero issues with range. I have it the same way on buggy and truggy.

Steering I havent touched. You can find pics of how I set up my Throttle Expo a page or 2 back.

My steering is sensitive enough, last thing I need is Expo's on them .

Nice body Draxan.!

Draxxan,

What are the chassis braces you are using, and where can I get them in the US? I broke the plastic rear one today.

Also, do you guys use loc tite on the 17mm wheel nuts? My wheel came off a few times today.

This truck is sick. I'm using a V-Spec, DXR3, and ACE 1015/1213, and was amazed at this truggy. This is my first one and it was perfect on the track.

You can buy the chassis brace on ebay.com: http://cgi.ebay.com/Jammin-X2-CRT-Tr...713.m153.l1262

No, don't use locktite on the wheel nut [8D]

im thinking about it. he said he is selling a x1x jammin buggy with a starter box..all pimped out....for 250$ also with a dynamite engine. i want the truck though. lol btw.....today at the track...i was racing and i hit one of the marshalls in the face with my jammin truck. hahaha...it wasnt that funny when it happend..it busted him in the nose and he started bleeding. he went to get somones elses car who had went off the track and rigth when he was getting up.....i came off the first ramp of the double and i was int he air and he stood up right when my truck nailed him. its almost like he turned his head into my truck. lol i couldnt even see him because there was a table top in my way, he was bent down getting some 1 elses car. .... dangerous sport. lol

to buy or not to buy the jammin x2...is the question... lol

Thanks. I just ordered them, but it looks like it will take a long time for shipping. Is there any way to get a plastic one in the meantime?

Also, I just put the broken one back together temporarily with zip ties, but when I tried to reinstall it, the holes wouldn't line up. I have to bend the chassis to get them to line up - is it possible that I bent the chassis? Do I need a new chassis, too?
