Default Truggy .21 Engine Selection.? Best Bang...?

As the title states.

Im pretty bored with the OS 28XZ, its a great engine, but theres no bang to it. Im trying to find a good .21 with a kick to it. Quality is my Top most Priority, cost, should be around $450 or lower.

My options are. ( In order )

1 ) Supertib ' Clockworked ' Jammin JPX .21
2 ) [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_23_31/products_id/26653]EB "Fully Modded" Pre-Run Trinity ExTech .21[/link]
3 ) [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_23_31/products_id/13762]RB Concept C6-BB7T W/ Tuned Pipe[/link]
4 ) [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_23_31/products_id/23443]GRP .21 W/ Pipe[/link]
5 ) [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_23_31/products_id/17262]OS Speed 21VZ-B V-Spec [/link]

Those are my choies in order. I want the biggest bang I can get, dunno if its just me, but I like them powerful.

Thanks Guys...

There are a lot of guys here who know more than I do, but based on my observations at last weekend's three day race, I will be selling my NIB OS 28(and Hyper ST..) and getting an RC8T with LRP 21 X (= Nosram 21RR, = Picco 21 turbo of some sort..) or some other variation of the Picco 21.. There were a lot of cool engines there, but nothing stood out like the Nosrams and the Orion CRF's..'(both Picco 21's with minor differences apparently..) I'll post the vid clips again if you haven't seen them..

Ah heck, just watch(and listen to.. )this...:

http://s166.photobucket.com/albums/u...ithNosrams.flv (there are two Nosram 21's with 2063 Efra pipes there..)

http://s166.photobucket.com/albums/u...TNosrams-1.flv

http://s166.photobucket.com/albums/u...C8TNosrams.flv

http://s166.photobucket.com/albums/u...minNosrams.flv

At another race I was at, there was a buggy with a GRP 21 in it, and I couldn't believe how high it revved.. Kept revving higher and higher - sounded psychotic..

Which is cool..

How it would do in your X2 I don't know..

Thanks Patrick,

If I end up going the Picco way, id definately go for a Supertib Clockworked motor, he posted a vid some time ago, and I loved it. I think it was one of his Stage 1 motors if im not wrong.

Im not too worried about run times too, forgot to add, my XZ gives me 7 - 8 minutes so im used to that now. Just want some bang.

I'm not %100 sure about that - but am eagerly trying to find out...

I think the Nosram/LRP 21 X is a Picco Evo 2 (or would it be the Evo 3???......) - but with turbo head.. (Apparently not all Picco Evo 2's have turbo heads...)

Bang for the buck, the JPX 21 from amain is surely hard to beat...

ps Don't forget, the discount codes get you 75 bucks off at tower, 25 at amain.... I have'em if you want'em...

Wheres Supertib when you need him . Picco Guru.!

I have never heard of these Norsam 21's until Patrick spoke about it some time ago. They look to be good.!

Suprised no recommendations for the Trinity motor...

Just to add.

How it would do in your X2 I don't know..

It'd fly, I had my JP .21 which is some sort of extremely modified Novarossi ( Use it for the buggy ) in there a few days ago, and this thing was bizzerk. Hence me choosing a .21 now. That engine produces barely any toque, but has an extremely high HP rating ( Apparantly ), so if that can get it to lay a blazing lap time, anything should be able to do that.

Plus im running one of the lightest X2's out there, LW chassy, LW Hinges, LW driveshafts, LW everything.

Yeah, I've seen the light with .21's.. I saw a JP running in an X-ray earlier this year, and it was nuts.. Was funny too, cuz it was the dude's backup engine. He said his Ninja 28 was just too crazy on this track.. As if he could stay 1/2 in control with the JP.. Was impressive for sure..

I think any of those will give you tons of power,

all over kill

Id look at a modded C6 though, stock those motors are really fast

I have a O.S. 21 vspec speed and it is a very fast and capable engine, I also have and use Dynamite platinum engines 21 and 28 not as fast but more than enough engine.

As far as your list goes I have heard good things about any of those engines so its personal opinion at this point any will be a good racing engine but I would go with the O.S. I have had really good luck with O.S. engines for cars, trucks and airplanes and heli's

look at the new novarossi Plus 21-7FMS it still has the great bottom end that the 21-7 has but it has been improved for even more top end power..The Plus 21-7BT that i have is faster than my RB C6BBT and it's still faster than the OS speeds..[X(]

really though from seeing both I would go rb cause there just seems to be so many grps , either grp or rb , seen less issues with both as well as last a little longer racing ..

Excellent engine, but better suited to buggy (based on my research), the Sirio to consider for truggy is the CL7B STI. It's a long stroke motor, so produces more torque, suited to the larger truggy

Well its very hard for me to put my opinion in here without coming across wrong and looking very opinionated in favor of my modified motor....... However if people can look past my obvious conflict of interest I can offer a very candid and honest comparison between these engines.... The modded motor is fast, really really really fast....Heavy hitting low end , tire balooning midrange and a screaming top end... no word of a lie the modified JPX 21 feels as strong as a NInja 28 in the low end, but with a higher revving top end..most people who see this motor run cannot believe its not a .28..I own a RB C6, Ninja 21, CL7B STI and a V-Spec and no other .21 feels anything like the modified JPX engines...Its easily the strongest .21 your going to find anywhere, without question ..also the difference between the stock Picco's and the modified Picco's is massive, if you think the stockers are fast just wait till you see a modified one run, these motors gain very good from mods ...... as well run time the modifieds are usually better then stock, they run cooler and idle easier.... power is nothing short of brutal, the bottom end is nasty !!!! unfortunately as biased and opinionated as I sound here, I am telling the truth !

vspec
sirio cl7 is a beast 2
extechs are fast as heck
novarossi 21-5 and 7's are fast and that FMS one is to...i've seen chris nunez run his as well as a couple of his buddies
grp(not to impressed but they aren't slow)

id say the most radical on your list would be the modded jpx those things are crazy fast bottom and top

Are you even able to find the Nosram? I think I'm slowly finding out that Nosram products, though identical, are the cheaper of the two brands.. In other words, the Nosram 21RR and LRP 21 X are identical, but the Nosram is cheaper.. Was that way with the LRP Spec 3 and Nosram 28 Evo.. The Nosrams are hard to find though..

The Picco 21 Evo 3 is $50 ($280 vs. $230) more than the Jammin 21 at amain..(both can be had for -$25 off with the code..) Would be neat to know if it's worth the extra 50 bucks...

I would take a turbo head JPX over the non turbo EVO3....... the JPX has a sturdier cooling head and removeable venturi carb as well as being turbo head.... the JPX is not the EVO1 its likely closer to a EVO3 by numbers

the jammin is like this : http://www.teampicco.com/Motori/p3-r.html
while the lrp like this :http://www.teampicco.com/Motori/p7revo2buggy.html (discontinued)
