What's the difference between a turbo & standard plug engine. Can you put a turbo plug in the standard plug engine. I just started racing & am looking at the rb concepts line of engines . For my x1 crt i'm leaning towards the s7 l2g & for my sons x1 buggy the s5 l2g . I am in the low to mid 2 hundred dollar range & i see a lot of the ws7 l2g at the track. Since we are just learning we don't need the fastest engine just good smooth power & reliable. Any input would be great, Thanks

on the turbo plug Q.....No u cant swap a turbo with Standard....and the difference is how they seal...standard uses the brass washer...the turbo uses a taper'd seal....but there's different taper's for different motor's....so mixing plugs can only be done when u know what match's what...or just buy the stock plugs....they are somewhat expensive....but in the long run they last alot longer...and rarely fail when u know how to tune......The only experience ive had with RB was with a modded C6.....it was quite the wild ride to say the least and still to this day has a top end like No other.....id consider another one some day.

I personally like the Turbo Plug's better. I feel they last longer, a tiny lil' bit more power, and best of all, no stupid washer to deal with.!
Also for engines, take a look at the Jammin JPX .21. Quite powerfull and mad crazy compression.

More snap in the bottom is what i feel mostly......worth the extra $$.....definatly....but most high end race mills come turbo already.

turbo plugs are suppose to be easier to tune vs the standard plugs. Ive see 2 sirio cl7b side by side, one turbo and one standard plug, both had smooth idle and couldnt tell them apart on the track. Price between the 2 plugs is another story. Aboout 5 bucks between the two with standard plug being cheaper. I buy sheets of turbo plugs (12) for 90 bucks, sheets of standard run about 60-70 bucks.
Biggest thing with plugs, getting the right heat range plug. Hotter the plug the more advanced timing, colder the plug, retards the timing.
RB is a great choice with your price range. OS v spec would be another.
