can anyone tell me how the hellfire tranny actually works? Can this truggy wheely? it seems like both front and rear tires have to be on the ground for it to work.

hellfire's have 3 diff's...the only way a hellfire will wheelie is with a thick center diff fluid and or an Excessively powerful motor.

NO transmisison on the Hellfire...I got mine to lift the front for a while, but it wont sustain a wheelie.. I have mods.. clutch.. diff spur gear.. other things.. but its the stock motor.. it will pull up the front end!.. I think the key was a diff locker in the rear.

you would want a locker in the center NOT the rear....having it out back would still allow the power to spool out the front diff Through the center.....you can wheelie a hellfire with enough power and thick center diff fluid..

Just shy of 2:00 into the video she pulls the front up

Oldschool video......but never the less a hellfart pullin wheelies.

INTEGRA,

Sorry about that.. I forgot to mention I had the diff locker in the center as well.. normally if your racing, no you would not.. but for bashing its a blast.. gets for some great powerslides!!! and doughnuts!! I put a locker in the center diff and the rear.. lots of fun.... the only reason I went with a locker in the center is so I dont have to get another heavier diff lube and I dont have to worry about another set of gears.. just my 2 cents on that part.

Locker's lead to Broken Ring and Pinion's......i would much rather have the diff spool out then snap a tooth off the Ring or pinion....bashing especially with all the funny 1 wheel landing's and stuff.

locker's break parts....there's no 2 ways around it....but at least you can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I put 100k in the centre diff of my HF today. Definately increased the top speed (has an os28) but made it very tail happy. Also made it easier to lift the front when going over slight bumps. Lots of fun.
