Default Associated RC8Te Official Thread

I couldn't find a thread dedicated to the RC8Te so I decided to start one. This is the place to post about anything related to the RC8Te.</p>

I thought this truggy would be more popular. Next month if I can afford to spend the money I am going to get mean RC8Teand a Turnigy brushless motor/esc combo.

Are the front and rear chassis braces for the RC8T and RC8Te the same?

The chassis is the exact same thing, the only diffrence is the radio tray, or lack there-of, the electric motor mount, and the battery tray. Everything else is the same as the RC8T...

Do I qualify to post here if I have an RCM chassis conversion?
Is anyone running a 4s setup?

Anyone with a brushlessconversion or an out of the box RC8Te is welcome to post here.

My brother runs a 4s setup in his E-Revo and it's fast, so thats what I'll be running when I get my truggy.

I got a Rc8te out the box with a MMM 6s set up. It has plastic big bore shocks not the metal ones like the Factory kit, other than that the same Truggy.
It is insane on 6s.

Awesome truggy and will handle awesome. I have also the Losi 8T 2.0 converted to brushless. I ran both trucks at the same track on the same day. The Losi 8T 2.0 had the fastest lap of the day by 1.2 seconds, but my average lap times with the RC8T-E were 1 sec faster then the Losi. So in a race against myself, the RC8T-E would have won that day....I love both truggies and the RC8T-E has been just as tough as the Losi 8T 2.0 I have. My ONLY complaint has been the plastic shocks...the caps have blown off on my front shocks twice.

I love the RC8T, i havent had any shock problems at all. Here is a vid of it at a track my buddy and I built in his back yard, in fact we designed it around this truck. Only complaint is that the LHSdoesent support it.

I've had a few small issues.
#1   Steering servo has gone out (stripped)
#2   Front drive shaft fallen off, i think the set screw came loose
#3   FM radio seems a bit cheap, when i turn it off the truck goes crazy.   My savage stock radio doesn't do that

Other than that, not one problem.  Had it since Jan 09 and put quite a few miles on it.

Why would you turn the radio off with the truck on anyway?

Any one know where to get a holder or clamp for the MMM esc? Double sided tape is no good.

My RC8Te arrived at my house today[sm=thumbup.gif]. Now I just have to wait for Hobby city to send my esc, motor and batteries, then I can get this thing ready to rip.
