Default Throttle Servo

[&o]I keep burning the throttle/brake servo on my Losi 8T, has the stock 2.4 radio, with JR 650's. I've replaced it about 3 times, the las time with the Hitec 645 I didn't even run it, and it got fried. Could the receiver be bad and be sending too much juice?

what kind of battery are you using? if its a lipo then thats why they are burning out. those servos arent rated for 7.4 volts.

I don't know about the JR servos but I would try to get the Hitech servo replaced under warranty if they will let you.

They both JR & Hitec have 3 year warrranties, and they have replaced them, but I just want to fix the damn thing. I wonder if the receiver is messed up...

something is going on, seems like a short or something, that is odd, are you sure they are burnt out? try pluging them into the steering and see if they work. it might be that the throttle isnt responding.

The Losi is notorious for burning up throttle servos. Everything must be perfect or it'll eat up servos. Losi has a "throttle addendum" and a radio tray addendum. Follow it word for word.

The chassis flex is what causes the servos to blow. Under flex, the throttle linkage binds, in turn, binding up the servo. I don't install the screw that holds the battery box part of the tray to the chassis. This allows the chassis to flex without flexing the radio tray. To keep the battery box from bouncing around, you can use velcro to fasten it to the chassis.
