Engine mounting problems 8ight-t v1.0

I recently bought the mach 427 engine which came with a pull start. with the pull start attached it will not allow the engine to connect properly to the engine mount on the 8ight-t. I am guessing that i have to either purchase a new plate or something else. I do not want to use bump start. is there some kind of way to use pull or roto start? grr its one thing after the other i haved to buy. Got a new engine cant use it because the mounting of the pull start. any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I made some spacers to add to the engine mounts on my X1 when I used the pull start engines. Just get higher mounts or space it a bit. I used 4mm aluminium as a spacer, cut to size and drilled 2 holes per side.</p>

Why dont you want to use a bump box? They do make conversion kits to make your mach into a bump motor..and if you use the Losi box its easy..I always hated pull starts for several reasons..;)

I assume you have the 8T kit, so I guess you need the RTR mount...  It is, after all, the 8T RTR engine..  Only difference is the RTR came with a Spin-start backplate, but size-wise it's the same as pullstart(I believe..)

You are corect on the size..I still say ditch the pull start and go with the bump box..one way bearings are nothing but trouble..

This is what you'll need if you'd like to keep the pullstart or rotostart:

It says 8B, but I'malmost positivethe 8T RTR uses the same mounts.
