Here is my new Zero with a Moki 2.1 in it. Fuse weighs in at 15 pounds RTF. Cowl weighs 2.5 pounds.

Removed cowl, Motor and throttle servo.

Removed battery, receiver, and fuel tank.

Now the fuse weighs 8 pounds.

Here are a few pics.

Here are a few engines I have laying around. What motor should I use?
Brison 3.2
Da-50
G-62
Brison 2.4
Fuji-50ei

What is the best way to fix the hanger rash on the left side of the stab and elevator?

The Moki with the rail mount and the radial mount weighs 5.5 pounds,if you can believe that. I checked balance before I started and it is right at 5" at the root. Did you mean to cut the tip square and shape it to match with basswood? This fuse is so light, I don't think the stab is even fiberglassed. It does have panel lines and rivets though...
