Gary,
I emailed you with the tracking number from UPS. It should be there by Friday at the latest. It went out early this afternoon. Can't wait to see when you get a chance to start on it. I'm really looking forward to pictures as you go. You are an outstanding friend for doing this for me!

It isn't too busy with work right now, but that could change. As my construction work slows down, my wife picks up more time at the hospital. I'll be glad to have more work so she feels comfortable taking less extra work.

You are more than welcome to post here. Please, anyone working on these dummy radials feel free to post in this thread.
Really nice work. Love the wire harness. What did you use for the wires? It all looks outstanding. Thanks for posting. Looking forward to seeing more.

Gary,
Finished my engine for my YA P-47. This thread was extrememly helpful as I simply followed how you put yours together. All I need to do now is some weathering and install it in the cowl.
For anyone out there considering building this engine or another for whatever warbird they are working on by all means build one. Sure it took several hours but nothing was difficult. The results are certainly worth the effort!
Thanks again!
John B.

I neglected to post this one addition I made. As you recall, I had made a silhouette cutout on the bottom cylinder for added cooling. I decided to go ahead and add that cylinder, but make it removable. It is held in with Velcro for static display, but can easily be removed for flying.

RE: dummy R-2800 Pratt & Whitney
I am assembling a Carf Corsair and would like to have a dummy radial that nice. Can you tell me where you got all the parts? My plane is 1/4.5 scale. I would like to have a Moki radial but the cost is a bit more than I want to spend.
Thanks,
Mike

Spark plug wires also unplug from the backing plate. here are a couple photos of the real engine, I had to go by
