Thank you Casey, I think I found it. Much cheaper then I expected.
Brad3301 - Thank you for the kind comment. I have a 5 years old girl and she is also a chatterbox....
So, I had it planned to make some progress today, but as always, something just came up...
It will have to wait for the next opportunity.

Finally made some progress and got the first radiator mounted by the screws.
It is held stronger then I thought. Imay be able to do without the silicon.

Some more progress, Ihave now trial fitted the second radiator, and started to think about routing the servo leads.
To protect them from the sharp edges of the Flitsking, I am trying a ring of Gorilla glue.
I made a circular "hatch cover" over my cuttings above the torque rod and had a look at the wing bottom cover.

Casey - Iwas looking into it, but the only fuel tubing I had that evening is Tygon (for petrol fuel), and it was not flexible enough.
The Gorilla glue solution worked very well. I did apply "ring" of glue on both sides and on the edge itself and the result is very smooth.

yes good idea. I used a piece of 100% silicon sheet that was about 2 inches in diameter. I glued that to the skin (over the cutout) with 100% silicon sealant. The piece of silicon sheet had a small circlular cutout in its center, that everything ran through.

Some more progress, I painted the wing under the radiator flap and the bottom of the slats.
The paint in the photos is wet, so the colour is not uniform.

I attached the radiators to the wing and had my first radio activated operation of the radiator flaps.
Ihad to do some minor adjustments, but I think it is working fine.

Too busy to find time to build, but I did receive the package from Dynamic Balsa.
While on the subject of Dynamic Balsa, Brian was very helpful with my queries while deciding what to buy.
Igot the "Platt" ME-109 sport scale cockpit kit, Revi 16B gunsite and some seat belt material.
All far better then I would ever be able to produce myself (well, if it wasn't available I wouldn't bother).

Yes, that's the one! One thing that I did, was to fill the two flap wheels with resin(same as used on the leading edge) then cut them from the sheet and shape. This gives you two solid pieces, with something in the center to mount to....I didn't "pop" them out from the back,(meaning the resin, its left inside the piece)I just cut them off the sheet normally.
The weather is starting to break abit here, as its been over 107 degrees here for 10 days straight. I might be able to get back in the shop!

Suddenly I had some time today, so I concentrated on the centre section.
I started with shortening the air lines for the retracts (which were way too long).
I then routed the servo leads to the area in the wing from which they will protrude to the top from, and cut 4 holes, two in the "front" (first photo) and two in the "back" (second photo).
I used the same method that already worked for me to protect the servo leads by using Gorilla Glue on the hole edges.
I then trimmed the Fliteskin next to the landing gear as suggested to me by Jose a while ago, to minimise the damage if the retract is torn off.
I trimmed the fibreglass centre section cover and made 6 spruce mounting blocks. Iam using screws (as commonly done to hold engine cowls) to attach the centre section cover.
Overall Iam quite pleased with the result, still need to add two more screws at the back end of the centre section cover to get it to conform properly to the wing.
Ialso obtained today the dowels from my handyman neighbour and will probably do that next.

Hi Erans,
nice work.
I glued permanent the belly pan to the wing. It makes the wing more sterdier and also prevents fuel and oil from entering inside the wing. I mounted servos and gear valves from the top with access to all the air lines.

I really enjoyed it today. The first time in a while I had uninterrupted time to work on the aeroplane.
I was thinking of gluing the belly pen, but since it is my first aeroplane with retracts I wanted easy access to all the air lines (just in case).
I will be using a petrol engine, so Ido not expect too much oil on the airframe.
Did you finished your new ME-109 wing? Is it ready to fly again?

I am in the USA on my holiday at the moment (this is written while in Yosemity NP) and won't be building for the next 5 weeks.
However, I did had a chance to check the Sacrament Area Modelers club air-field and a very nice RC shop while I was in Sacramento.
Unfortunately, due to an airshow held nearby, they were not flying, but they had a swap meet on that day and were very friendly.
Below are some photos of the airfield. I hope to find some other oportunities during my visit.
Any suggestions for clubs / shops to see on my way driving from here to Yellowstone and then to Denver?
However, I did had a chance to check the Sacrament Area Modelers club air-field and a very nice RC shop while I was in Sacramento.
Unfortunately, due to an airshow held nearby, they were not flying, but they had a swap meet on that day and were very friendly.

I live just 40 miles from Sac. I was at that air show that day you were here.....I wish I had known, I would have tried to arrange meeting you.

Could you see a small mountain range just north of Sac? That's the Buttes here in my town.....you can see them from the area.

Casey - I am kicking myself now. I didn't even think about it before I came over, and I had planty of time while I was in Sacramento... It would have also been a great excuse to get away from family...
Jose - I actually mentioned to you that I am coming over when we talked on Skype, quite a while ago. You told me about WOTR happening at same time and I addedit to my trip calendar then. However, it requires me to get to Denver a week early then needed, which I am still trying to fit into our trip schdule without upsetting my other half...
Will you be at WOTR?
If you do, and you bring the Me-109, I will have very stron case to convince my wife to make the effort.

You are wright, it's been a while and I forgot. Unfortunately due to work, can not make the Rockys this year #@! That should not stopping you from going!!
The strongest reason would be to see the Rockies (with warbirds flying over!)

I just came back from Warbirds Over the Rockies.
Very nice show, and very high level of flying competency by the pilots.
I was a bit disappointed to see that about half of the participants were not flying their aeroplans until the noon time show (while others had multiple flights).
What the point building RC aeroplane if you do not enjoy or too afraid flying it?
