Default Robart Electric Retracts

Looks like Robart will be "Electrifying" their retracts. Wonder if you will be able to convert an old pneumatic set of Robarts to electric?

Yes from what I hear through my circles you can have that done. Or you can send them Mitch at down and locked in NC.

Yeah I'd like to know more. I need to buy some .60 size retracts and I'd prefer electrics.

To the best on my knowledge: Robart has not posted anything on the web about it. The only 'clue' can be found in recent magazines, where Robart placed full page ads announcing something 'electrifying' would unvieled 12/31/2011. The ad has a dark picture of a retract unit, with a tell tale servo lead coming from it. Robart is obviously about to introduce electric retracts, altho little else is know at this point.

No link, just noticed ad in AMA rag. I have been using air since Rohm Air days - actually it was Freon! How many of us will convert? I am building a T/F T-34 and will consider electric over air.

I have had the Robart gear converted from air to electronic by Down and Locked for both my Ziroli C$7 and my Byron AT6. Mitch and Ron do very nice work .BTW my last conversation with Mitch several months ago he indicated that they were in talks with Robart . I will be converting my other retracts to electronic as well

This is awesome news, I have been waiting patiently for this to happen. I knew the "big" retract manufacturers couldn't sit by too much longer. The demand is most definitely there.
So long air retracts..............................

Well I did the dirty deed and bought the Robart 631 air retracts and am in the process of putting them in my H9 150 P47.I've been fighting with the stock set and finally got the air. They just about dropped in[with some cutting].I am so happy.I've had robart air for about ten yrs and have never had problems. So here we go.
