I've been playing with free graphics software, and one of the results, so far, is some 3 views of imaginary Spitfire models.

deviantART seemed like a good place to post such drawings:

Stay away if you want Real Life historical accuracy [8D]

Removed my RCV 91 from the Kyosho Spitfire 90 as had bearing issues and installed an OS 120 AX with Bisson muffler a couple of weeks ago. Engine cut on the first flight with the new engine and the following 4 flights were very short i.e. take off, first turn and engine died. Good job it can glide well !! I did all the normal things before take off with nose raised and needle set on the rich side (engine is new anyway so do not wish to have a lean run) and still it cut.

Looked up on the various forums and someone on RC Universe mentioned a similar problem that was cured by moving the pressure nipple. I looked up the muffler on the Bisson site and sure enough, the nipple was now much higher up on the body of the muffler. My exhaust nipple was down towards the bottom and can only presume it was not supplying enough pressure to the tank. Flew 2 flights yesterday (our only day off here in Dubai) and the new position opposite the outlet from the engine was rewarded with a sweet note from the engine for each of the flights. Very relieved and must tell tell the shop of the mod as many other customers may have similar issues.

Pretty cool, looks close to the Seafang perhaps another design that might sow up on the market?

Didn't know about the beer runs but now I think it is a great story to attach to a model, I am on to build my Mike Reeves 1/4 scale as a MK IX beer hauler!
I was Born in Brittany and raised by the coast in Normandy , perfect theme to add to my collection.
Any ISBN# on the book by chance?
Bruno

Flyingchef,

I searched the book title on Amazon and this is the link to the location of the book.

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...g+in+the+Skies

Hope this works,

Hello Spitfire lovers the world over! I post here a link from my blog about a recent discovery ( http://aerospacedreams.blogspot.com/...-in-burma.html ).

I too would like to join the Spitfire brotherhood. I have a old Royal Spitfire kit that I am rebuilding and once had a micro eRC Spitfire.

shanksow, great post, beautiful Spitfire picture! This thread may be the most fun of any on the web. I really can't keep up with all of the neat stuff that keeps pouring in.

I actually learned to fly controlled powered flight using a simi-scale Spitfire control-line balsa model back in the late '50s. That first successful flight was aided by prior "whip powered flying" experience. Got interested in RC as a result of fun with a ham operator. My first R/C airplane ended up being used as a free flight plane, and later as an airborne target drone for pistol target practice. Yes, it got shot out of the sky. I had a lot of fun with control-line aerobatics machines and even got one published in Model Aviation magazine. HANDY WEB PAGE FINDER web site (no URL needed - just type the name into Google search window) brings up a list of all my web sites including those about my airplanes, etc.

I try to keep up with UFO information also. My tenative conclusion is there is a lot of secret technology, some of it can be found on free energy web sites. As you may already know the government has the legal right to suppress technology and use it in weapon's systems. It also tends to suppress anything that might actually compete with our current energy monopoly. However, the truth is in the process of leaking out and I am looking forward to using new technology batteries that will be vastly superior to anything presently available in my killer fighter planes.

My new "post signature" shows how model fighter planes can be really great "attention getting teaching aids;" as well as a really fun inseparable part of real science/history education. Yes, I am a former public and private school teacher as you may have guessed
by now.

I better break off the attack for now.

Out.

SCRAMBLE! "mad thorium batteries" typed into YAHOO now brings up power with unimaginable capabilities for our aircraft.

ALERT - HACKER ATTACKS!

I just learned from a friend that hackers are sending insulting messages and signing other peoples names to them. I don't know if that is happening here or not, but, for the record I never send insulting messages to anyone. So, if anyone has received an insulting message that is out of character with all that I have posted publicly, it is a lying fake!

Let us not ever allow ourselves to be divided and conquered!

"mad thorium batteries" typed into YAHOO search now brings up the kind of forbidden knowledge that can make some of us targets.

Out.

Try airborne-models web site. They sell WM & WingsMaker models.

goph, welcome to the thread that history may record as the greatest positive influence for modeling progress ever! We hope you will stick around and report your your progress, adventures, etc., in the same heroic spirit that the "Few" have immortalized.

Joyfully, the earlier thread announcment about my inoperable Facebook URL is now fixed. Undeniable Spitfire excitment as a relevant part of a "brave new world culture" is now on full desplay! Check it out if you think you can tolerate the utter stark terror of spirutial combat against every high thing that exhaults itself against truth!?

Must break off the attack for now and prepare for a secret fighter sweep mission that could keep me out of this sector of the battle for up to three days. Good luck!

Out.

NOTE - 5/16/12 - The first time I clicked on this URL today I was blocked off. This URL on my last post worked perfectly the first time I clicked on it, then I came back here and this one also worked perfectly. DO WE GOT FUN OR WHAT?!

By the way, the enemy is overwhelmingly outnumbered and is destined for the ash heap of history.

Hello Spitfire brothers, I am from the U.K. across the pond & respectfully request to join the Spitfire brotherhood, with my Brian Taylor 83" mk1a Spitfire conversion, it is moki 180 powered with JR radio gear, finished with warbird colors with a re-mix of the brown & green, almost full rivet & panel detail applied. The plane is modelled on one from 74 squadron "Tiger squadron" that flew in the battle of Britain.
