Warbirds Over Delaware 2012
Warbirds Over Delaware will be held July 11 - 15, 2012. (Wednesday through Sunday)
Warbirds Over Delaware is an AMA and IMAA scale warbird event. All pilots must have a valid AMA and IMAA membership. You may join IMAA at the event.
All aircraft flown during the event hours must be a scale warbird and meet IMAA specifications of 80" wing span for monoplanes or 60" wing span for multi-wing aircraft or 1/4 scale or larger.
A pilot landing fee of $25 (Overnight RV campers will pay a reduced rate) will be charged. This fee will cover your vehicle State Park entrance fee, provide a ticket in the pilots-only raffle, and the pilot's ticket for the expanded Saturday evening BBQ. All fees will be collected after arrival. There is no pre-payment.
Onsite RV overnight parking is available on a first come, first served basis. RV must be self contained. No tent camping permitted at the R/C Flying Site. Additional park fees apply for overnight camping. Additional camping is available at the Park Campground approx 1 mile north of the Flying Field.
Pilot and vendor pre-registration is now open. Pre-registration is highly recommended. Pre-registered pilots will have their registration forms automatically filled out and waiting at the registration table at the event. There is no cost to pre-register.
Full event details, registration links, and lodging/camping details are available on the Warbirds Over Delaware Web Site at: http://delawarerc.org/warbirds.htm

RE: Warbirds Over Delaware 2012
Hello everyone. As we rapidly approach July, we are receiving many emails inquiring about hotels in the area. I've reached out to several hotels, but was disappointed in the responses. Of the responses I received, most weren't deals at all, and mostly quoting the price that was available online. Other responses were basically that they don't give quotes based on solicitation.
The best I can suggest is that you visit the following [link=http://www.hotels.com/search.do?destination=19708]local hotels[/link] link for local hotels and their offerings.
Also, many are inquiring as to what hotels most of the pilots are staying in. So, if you don't mind making this public information, feel free to post your lodging choice.
Lastly, due to my ISP and cable provider not being able to resolve an issue, I will be switching providers in a couple of weeks. I will send out an email notice on the Warbirds Over Delaware Yahoo eGroup. If you are not a subscriber, feel free to subscribe at http://delawarerc.org/warbirds.htm just above the vendor/sponsor logos. This is an announcement only email list.
See you in July! We've ordered great weather!
Best,
Brian

Hey guys ! I will be visiting this year. Planning to drive all the way up from Puerto Rico.
We are building a big A-26 Invader and I want to see and meet the big guys with the big toys.
I will be bringing a FW190, Skyrader, F100 and a Jet Provost.
What Hotel do you guys call the home base? is there such a thing at WB over Delaware?
Cheers
Frankie

We plan to stay at the Homewood Suites. Works very well for a family- a nice (indoor) pool, free dinners, good breakfasts. We usually get a suite- one couple (with child0 stays on one side, other couple on the other, sharing a living room/ kitchen.

The Malchiones have a new plane to Warbirds Over Delaware 2012. It's an A-10 "Warthog." 110 inch wingspan. Twin 100mm turbines. Unbelievable power. Here's a taste of what's to come:

Berry, this is Stuka Jim from Chesapeake. Did you ever happen to find the other siren? I redid my Stuka for this year
