Default Spinner hole too big

Hey guys, any thoughts or techniques out there for a spinner back plate prop bolt hole that was drilled for a larger engine and is now being mounted on a smaller engine? (besides changing the engine [])

It is an aluminum spinner and it is now way out of balance when the engine is running, probably because I cant get it centered with the larger hole.

Thanks!

most new spinners come with a bushing like the one fw190 described just finding the rite size that slips over the prop shaft and will take up the slack in the back plate is key the rest is easy

Yeah, this is a huge spinner P-40 and it was drilled by the previous owner, no bushing. Would be nice to have one. I have a bunch of bushings for smaller spinners but they arent big enough for this engine.

need to fly today so didnt have time to do the machinist. Thought about it all night and this morning used a wheel collar that fit the hole then drilled the collar hole a little larger for the bolt. We'll see if it works. Dont have time to test it home on way to field.

If you don't have spinner hole reducers brass tubing works very well. Unless you are precise drilling a hole in a collar it can be off center.

I usually do it that way for speed and in my experience accuracy on centering is good. I hate to say this but in a pinch I have also used tape[:@]
