Anyone know if you can order a replacement wing for the CMP 109? I have searched and no luck on much of anything for this plane except for some aftermarket items being made/sold by us local types.

Well, nevermind. I thought AK Models had one but I just checked and it was sold. Good luck to you, I know how frustrating it can be when a plane has to be grounded because you can't get spare parts.

Is the wing not repairable?

thanks. I imagine anything is repairable especially balsa wood. The wing is in 3 pieces now having gone through a grove of Russian olive trees. Devastating. I still bear the scars 2 days later from the thorns on those trees getting the remains out.

have you contacted nitroplanes they have the plane in stock but I didn't see any spare parts listed other than retracts

I would say with almost 100% certainty that they don't have anything other than piddly little items. Maybe a cowl and canopy at best. It really is infuriating that a lot of these importers don't ever stock any spare parts, nor does there seem to be any attempt to do so.

I know that you mentioned that you do not want aftermarket, but have you thought about getting a foam wing cut. As Itype this, I am watching the dollars go up by the time wood, hinges, and all are purchasd.

But anyway, I have had a foam wing cut by them by just sending the root/tip template in a .pdf along with the wing dimensions.

If Nitroplanes cxant help, try emailing CMP directly and asking. Not sure what they'd say, however, you may end up having to buy another full kit to replace the wings...but in that event, you'd have a lot of spare parts.

No reply from Nitroplanes. Used a wing from another kit, so now I have lots of spare parts. was hoping to have 2 of these planes sitting on the tarmac together at the airfield. She has flown again! Flies even better. I took the OS 160 out, too much power. I put my Saito 150 in and it sounds better and flies pretty fast. This is a fast plane.

Is there any hope of repairing the other wing? It looked kinda rough in your crash post, but I've repaired worse.

Did you contact CMP in the end. I found them helpful when I needed a new rudder for a CMP Edge540. They confirmed that the part was available, though I had to place the order through my local distributor.

No response from CMP direct nor anywhere else. I guess that is the answer. Have started to repair the damaged wing. Looks doable but will take awhile. Now I cant even order the ESM retracts that I used. They have all gone to electrics. Those ESM 109 retracts for their bird fit right in with some mods no the CMP and also look pretty good and they were not expensive! challenges lol

Sierra Giant makes gear for this plane and the esm 109. If you modified the gear placement etc on your cmp, then the ones for the esm would be best as the ones Sierra designed for this cmp plane fit in the locations with no modifications. but not exactl scale location either.
