Default ESM FW-190 canopy

Does anyone have a spare canopy for the 71" Fw-190 from ESM? I've finally got mine flying well, but my canopy is damaged so it's grounded once again.

Or try KMP. They might have one on hand.

I got my aftermarket canopy from Ty via www.vqwarbirds.com it is way stronger than the stock version, the plastic is quite a bit thicker, I doubled up and also got the fuel tank pod as well to save on the shipping,I need to get back to working on mine I have been insanely busy

I think I will take this opportunity to announce that I will be supplying Tomas at VQ Warbirds with replacement canopies for select ESM warbirds. I don't want to speak too much for Ty here, but we have talked a couple of times and he has told me that he wishes to step back from making canopies (at least for now) so that he can focus on his cockpits & some other things. I will be aquiring his last couple of original ESM canopies in order to make new molds for them. Ty is a great guy & a skilled artist, and I hope to see (and buy) more of his work in the future! So far I have several molds, and that number will continue to grow as time goes by.

I will agree with kahlog, I spoke with Tomas a short while back & I think he said something about having a FW canopy laying around.

One other thing, I am looking for the latest ESM air retracts for the 71" FW... I have one in the works & would like to go air on this one. Anyone?

VQ still shows the air version of the esm retracts as well as the genii electric. Give Tomas a shout and see if he's still got some of the air versions:

He does also carry the Sierra Giant stuff for that size plane. Slightly more expensive though. Other then that, Hobbyking has a set of 80 degree 60-120 size electric gear. They are made by rclander. Friend of mine is using them in a PICA fw-190 d9.

I suppose you could convert the esm electric versions to air. Aquiring the correct length, diameter, etc air cylinder would be an issue though and better off just going with the sierra.

I have a set of the 71" size esm air retracts, but I have yet to finish my plane. The larger fw-190 d9 is currently on the build table.

No Im not wanting to sell the gear, sorry

Ditto for me. Was going to get one from Ty as he lives just up the road, but he no longer has the plug.

Would like a ESM Bf-109e canopy as well if you have one.

I will be pulling some over the weekend, so I might be able to help out. As far as the 109 goes, I have a mold for the big 109 but not the small one. I would love to get my hands on a canopy for the small 109! If anyone would send me a stock, uncut one, I will make them a couple high quality replacements...

Found an esm fw-190A canopy for sale in the rcu marketplace. What luck!! Guy posted it at 8pm at night the day BEFORE mine flew off and I just happened to google search esm fw190 canopy and the add showed up. And it cost me only $10.

However, seeing as Firepower is pulling molds this weekend. Im still up for purchasing one or two
