Hi George!
A good freind just alerted me to your post.
I'm building a 1/3 scale version of the Starstrutter. Using Arizona Model plans, and their laser cuts ribs, buttheir other parts were way too late to use or way too heavy.
I have a build thread on RCScalebuilder.com, under the forum marked "Other Kits', Hansa Brandenburg Starstrutter.
It looks like you are coming along nicely. The varnish tone and covered colors look very authentic.
I'm new to RCU, but tried to post a few images of my 1/3 scale version
Keep up the great work!
Jeff S.

Hi Jeff ,
I am happy to see you here . I follow your thread , very big at 1/3 scale and I like it ! Thank you for your appreciation . The way you aproach the building it s very " healthy " . I must say that on the struts I have make it like yours on the central point , to make it in one nail . The top wing I make it in one piece . How do you think on the angle on this plane , wings , engine , elevator ? I think it s better not to give to wings more positive angle . I calculate like this - engine down cca-2 degres , top wing - neutral , down wing -positive angle -cca 1.5 degres and elevator neutral . I have put a DLE -32 , I hope to make it under 10 kg .
Thank you
George

Hi George,
I agree with your initial rigging set-up, 2 degrees of downthrust, zero incidence top wing and horizontal stab, bottom wings 1-1/2 degrees positive incidence.
I have the outboard ends of the "star" (wing) struts fitted with adjustable mounting lugs so that I can add washout in the top wing if needed.
My model will weigh around 22 kg. due to lead ballast in the noseeven with all of the servos and batteries located just behind the firewall.
I am using a Zenoah G-62 with a 2:1 reduction unit. Currentlyinstalling the internal pushrods, bellcranks and cables for the elevator and rudder so that the fuselage sheeting can be completed.
When do you expect to fly yours?
Jeff S.

The nose ballast is scarring me to . I hope to fly in august , this year . Problem is that I have a litlle practice for this year , only a few flights with Nieuport 11 ( BUSA kit ) 1/4 . I have painted the black cross on wing . And a video with the maiden of the Nieuport .
