AFTERBURNER1

Yeah Man, the Colorado crew was gearing up and making plans to attend. We decided to pass once the decision was made to do the one day scale contest on Sunday. Not that we've never done scale competition, maybe some of you remember, we, (Sky Corral RC Club) hosted the Colorado High Plains Scale Qualifier Master Scale Competition for 10 years. Scale Competition is NOT a dirty word around here as some have suggested. We just felt we didn't wanna drive 800 miles down and 800 back home again for only a two day Warbird event. So, that being said, we, (The Colorado Crew) hopes The Winter Warbirds event and one day Scale comp event is highly successful and the weather is perfect. We wish you all a Happy New Year and a perfect weekend for your Warbird/Scale competition event.

Barry, would love to have you come out. You will want to bring an ez up. We have a long ramada but it fills fast. I am working on getting a security guard at night. The county does not allow camping at night, but the field is locked up at night.

Hi, my spitfire is an ESM with DLE55, not a Griffon or Merlin I'm afraid... Hope the real ones to be dug up are in great shape though!

I saw one of those spitfires fly at WOTR. It is a nice sized plane. I am building the ESM FW 190 D9 now. Nice plane for the money.

The weather is looking very nice for the event. High sixties, blue skies and little wind.

The closest camp grounds are i17 and Deer Valley Road. There still is no overnight camping allowed at Sun Valley, Amps, or AMA that's to county risk mgmt lawyers.

I was three for three today. Gear were dropping before the first lap on all three flights. The UP3 would not transfer over from Gear to Gear door and the air would bleed out. Good day for Touch and Go's, Ugh.

It was 18 degrees at Sun Valley this morning, with a high of 46. But that ends tomorrow, it will be back up to normal temps by Thursday. 45 for a low 69 for a high. NO WIND.

Quist:

Do you want us to fill out a Pre-Registration form (Iknow its expired) so that you can have our personal and aircraft data for you? Should we do this for each aircraft we plan to fly?

Thanks!

For out of towners, is it permissable to drop a trailer off at the field and leave it Thursday evening? When will the gate be opened and closed? Any more info on security?
