RE: EASYTIGER LA-7
hey casey u been quite busy thats good family first. here is a pic of what my harness looks like , u gonna need a good amount of HV connectors the choice is yours whatever you are comfortable with, there's not too many people that make these except hobbyking and eflite the connectors are really large for the hi amp batteries. the first two pics shows the series harness that goes between the arming/momentary switch via the ESC i soldered a 1watt 51 oms resistor to the red wire coming from the esc connected to a momentary switch this alows me to charge the hot end to elimanate the spark trough the arming plug u can get these fom rcacceories.com i use the 10agw the other end from the momentary switch must be connect to the red of the series connector or it will not work u must do it that way some controllers like genace has theirs built into the system so it less wiring to do the second pic shows the parallel connectors for the four batteries 10 amps, long flight times if u use the a-spec u can fly even longer, but they cost 10% more.i can make the harness for u if u need one just let me know what connector u going to use i ll make it i have access to good resistor here on the job i get them from an engineere here .

Hahaha. Gonna have to pry my gas engines out of my cold dead hands. I must admit those planes are impressive. Think it's kinda like Mac vs pc. What ever system you started with you tend to keep going on. The initial investment in hardware And software....blah blah.
In might just explore the whole battery scene (mind you I do have 3 battery powered planes) for my giant war birds. I just might.....

Bubba, i always wanted to hear an electric warbird with a sound system installed, sounds like a really neat way to break the silence of an electric plane. I've seen them on you tube but I can't hear them on the internet maybe in person i could. See If they sounded authentic enough.
Neville, you got this build down to art work, sure would like to be at the field when it takes to the air.

I have heard some great sounding sound systems and some that stink. A lot of work is needed to make the sound broadcast at its best. Electric planes are not silent. Many guys have them at my field and there is decimate prop noise on the larger motors and props. Not the same as a gas engine and definately not in the orgasmic Moki category but not silent by any means.

hey bubba before u buy any thing for a big electric motor is important search the webb. you might find deal in other places i got my motor from leaders hobby there tons of online stores that may have a good deal. do some research so you don't spend a ton of cash. as for the batteries dont go cheap those turnigy and flightmaxx packs will work just fine we are not flying racers or hipowere composite jets it reall is not nesessary to have all that high c rating for those low kv motors the will produce lots of tork and that what u need .

this poleyester filler is so easy to work with and feathers to a smooth edge great for plastic and fiberglass it somewhat flexible ulike bondo that cracks when it hardens.
