Default Have You Flown With 4-Blade Prop?

Has anyone flown their 30-50cc warbird with a four blade prop? If you have, could you tell us what plane, engine and prop you used and how it worked out. I am specifically thinking about putting a DLE55RA in the new Hanger 9 30cc P-47 for the specific reason of being able to fly it with the Biele 4-blade prop. I know a couple of people who are getting ready to do this; but not seen any comments from anyone that has actually done it yet. thanks.

PS: Please forgive me Nick for stealing your photo .

I've flown the TF GS P47 with DA 85 swinging Fuchs 21x11 4 blade prop.
Engine was a bit too much for this prop, but otherwise looked scale.
You should be ok with that 55cc in a small warbird like the Hangar 9.
I would not recommend running 4 blade prop with that DLE55 in a GS warbird.

HI
not personally way out my range but saw this p51 fly at a warbird meeting sounded terrific

got the following details
Comp Arf mustang, it has an Evolution 80 and a Biela 4 blade

Mustang has a 24 x 10 Biela 4 blade (though there is now a 23 x 10 Mustang prop for the same motor)

I was wondering the same about a 4 blade prop and dle 55. Here is a video I have found.

I think a 2 blade that is larger creating a larger looking prop disk looks better than a little 4 blade. If he stuffs a DLE85 on the Top Flite and a larger 4 blade would look a lot better IMHO. I know it looks great on the ground but a small 4 blade prop, reminds me of a 3" tire that should have been 5".

Wow, that Evolution 80 must be a beast to swing a Biela 24x10 4-bld prop. Wonder what rpm's he's getting with that big prop.
My buddy is building a Ziroli P51 for me that I will plan to mount either DA85 that I have already, or ZDZ100 inline twin if I can find one.
I will be looking for a big 4-bld prop for that set up.
Please post rpm for 23x10 and 24x10 props with 80-85cc if anyone has it.

I fly a 21x13 4 blade on a 28lb scratch built P-47 that is the same size as the Top Flite one. Power is electric, Turnigy 50cc equivalent. I have almost no ground clearance hence the pitch & 4 blades. Model flies great with it though the torque swing is savage on take off. Can't really tell it is a 4 blader until you take photos of it in flight & then it looks great.

Does anybody know where I might find replacement props for my B-29?

Bolly 4-blades, 12 X 6"

They're not in production anymore

Much appreciated

I would be shocked if a hobby store has them, but it's an idea. Maybe I'll try Don's Hobby or Mac Hodges
