I can tell from being there, it is definately worth the trip. But bring something like a knee pad or a stadium chair to sit on if you can get a seat in the bleachers. Hard on the butt. But the best for viewing the flying. You just gotta see that bear fly. My favorites were the Super Connie and that humongus B-25. That B-25 looked absolutly real on its fly by's.

Ray, really nice photos of the ROG.
If anyone wants a high resolution photo of one of the ones shown on the Bomber Field pages then identify it and I'll e-mail it. By the way, that's my Corsair (#530) shown with my new Super Decathlon. The SD got second place post 1941 Civilian.

Ken,
Did they actually have an awards presentation on sunday? Was ther any flying. We spent most of the morning getting out of the mud so we went home about noon. By the way, who got first, I thought your plane would have locked that up. You flew it quite scale like. Really looked good.

Hi Ken, where is the Bomber Field. It looks to me that is where a bunch of heavy weights hang out. what is the setting. So many beautiful planes , it looks like an unuthorized Top Gun going on.

No, as I understand it, they didn't have an awards presentation because most of the people were working too hard to get out of the mud. I left by 10:30 going north and it didn't stop raining until I got to Waco.
Foxx here is the Bomber Field web site. There were many Top Gun caliber planes and pilots.

Actually Bomber Field is a small club and the big gathering of planes happens in the fall with a smaller gathering in the spring for the Warbird flyin. B B Weber owns Bomber Field and is a fantastic host. The Bomber Field group does a super job running the show.

RE: Bomber Field Photo Links
I thought it was two weeks ago and I was upset that I had to work. Then last Saturday, a buddy calls and says he is coming to get me and we are all going to Bomber. I tell him I can't, I have to work. So, I missed it twice this year!!! Grrrrrrr !
