Default F4U Brotherhood

Modeled my first giant F4U in 1985' after Howard Pardue's B1RD. It was a Royal Giant Scale. It still survives today under new ownership.

This is a "fun scale" Great Plains 40 size. It was easy to build. Forgiving to fly. 100+ flights with no mishaps. Easy to tote in one piece

Geez,

Just how many Corsair brotherhoods do there need to be? We've had one going in this forum since about 2007 I think.

GIVdriver, Your F4U's look good. I would like to see the Byron fly. As compaired to my 28 pound Byron P-40, what is the flying weight of your F4U?

The Byron F4U is almost 30 lbs. also. They fly well. No tip stall tendencies. Many of the Byron P40s do tend to snap under a load, or at or near stall. I had planned the corsair to be a winter project. Hmmmmmm...........may get well into summer before I get my other projects off my table. That's why my little GP .40 size is so fun. Just goes n goes and simple to keep up.

Would you folks mind if I merge the original thread:
with this one?
Alternatively, I can just delete the original one.
thanks in advance.

I think we/I should end this thread. There is another corsair brotherhood. I assumed it was for the top flight only. Thanks.
Flew the 900 to Cologne Germany last week. Nice place
