The other thread does not have the four-view pictures though so this one is better! While I do have some criticisms in regards to the scale outline I do actually still like it very much. Of all the TF Giant scale ARF's currently available this one would easily be my first choice. I still think I would go for the Yellow kit before I would by this one however. Kudos for TF for continuing to bring them to market though and I predict this one will be very popular.

Just ordered one, now I need to finish my TF 190 before the Zero Comes, already have a NIB DLE55RA to go in the Zero, from the pictures it looks like it's designed for this Engine, could be a regular DLE55 with wrap around Pitts; I guess we'll see what Robarts comes up with for the Zero; and I have a Blue Box Elite Aviator Japanese Pilot NIB waiting for a Zero to Fly, been on the shelf for about 2 years waiting for a Zero to be released. Here is the Product Info from the Top Flite Site http://www.top-flite.com/airplanes/topa0712.html it states that the recommended Engine is the DLE55RA, I'm in luck.

Top Flite rocks with their easy to finish 50cc warbird line.
They are a great value, not to mention that they dont discontinue the product after 12 months
like Horizon does with their warbird lineup.
I,ve had both the ARC Mustang and presently am finishing a P-47.

Really looking forward to this one! I already have the P-47, P-51, and the FW-190, so this would be a great addition! I lost my World Models Zero in a collision with a small heli last year so this would be a great replacement. The video of that crash has gone viral and is all over the web!

Sorry guys I can't provide any more detail right now as I'm in the process of moving so I'm going to leave it packed up for now I just wanted to check the inner box for damage which there was none. Just wanted to give everyone a heads-up that they are on the way. I'm looking forward to this one!

Hey guys
im sure I could post this elsewhere but I'd thought I'd try. How difficult is it to weather and add scale details to the Flat Monocote? I really like the ability to bash and airbrush the ESM finishes, but with their price increases, they can't compete with the Top Flite birds.
Thanks in advance

The flat Monocote will take paint better than the gloss film. Be sure its clean of oil and then paint ideally with oil based paint and it will last for a while. You can also cover the paint with polyurethane clear satin finish. Any weathering, light detail airbrushing, will need to be done slightly darker than usual because the clear coat will reduce the effect. You can also do some work first then clear then go back and accentuate whats been done for final effect.

Hi Case,
I just finished up weathering and detailing my Top Flite P-40. I had a great time doing it, and did not touch an airbrush once. The dirt and streaks are chalk and the panel lines were all done by pulling a 2/56 ball driver along the balsa just enough to dent it, then the rivets are a fine tip soldering iron. Its all sealed with a few light coats of Top Flight clear lustercoat.
Thanks,
Dan

Does anyone if someone has started a build thread yet on the Zero? I am very curious because mine will be here next week. I would love to put a radial in it like the FG-84 from Saito but not sure if it would fit. I see there are several people asking about inside cowl diameter. If the 84 Saito doesn't fit, what radial would fit? I see there are guys that are fitting the FG-84 on the TF FW-190 and the H9 Corsiar. Can't wait because I've been looking for a Zero for a long time.

Yeah this should be standard info on the product page for any radial/round cowl war bird.
My buddy and I want to install his 77cc 7cyl radial from H9 in a Zero like this but I suspect the cowl will be too tight. It does fit perfectly in the TF GS Corsair cowl with room to spare.
