Yeah, this is exactly the kit, which I have.
When I was fitting the fin on BT Spit, I found out, that one of the control bar must go through the root of the fin. I´m almost sure, I will have to take out already glued tube for this bar and put some longer. I want to drill a hole in the fin root and sneak the tube through.

Gotta go make some popcorn, I'll be following this closely! I just got my set of BT plans in the mail yesterday, the build won't be starting for a while yet but the wealth of info you're providing will be of great help for sure. Big thanks for sharing.
I'm planning on using the VicRC cowl and other composite parts, and I'd be very interested in buying a set of your exhaust stacks too, if you're still supplying them. Shipping would be to the US.

Hi guys,
I saw short film about Czechoslovak Squadrons. There are some good coloured shots of Spitfires, where you can see the paint of crowbar in the doors. Maybe you know, that is the most discussed problem in Spitfire´s cokpit. And now I see, that the cannons barrels were also covered by textile covering till the first shot. Because all the film is coloured it is possible to see a some wear out. There are only Spitfires Mk V, but these details are same for Mk IX.

I saw those films recently too. What amazed me was how dirty and weathered those aircraft got. It makes sense though. They were under manned, under funded and under attack at all times. There was no time to keep these things clean let alone repair some of the minor hangar rash that accumulated during the Battle of Britain. This was unlike any modern campaign where people have time off and the luxury of resources while carrying on. The other thing was how quickly the crews jumped all over those planes to re arm. They were not going easy on those airframes - they were being whaled on at all times.
I am not as much of a Spitfire historian as I am of other aircraft types so I do not know some of the peculiarities are with the exhaust stacks. The MkV's had rust colored exhaust stacks but the MkIX birds had more dark metallic exhaust colored stacks and some whiting where the high temp exhaust exited. Why were the MkV stacks orange in appearance?

Jiri I wanted to thank you as well for the stacks. Your work is fantastic and they were a great addition to my 1/5.5 scale Mk IX I am not done fully weathering and detailing my Spit but your stacks have made my job of making a model airplane into a "miniature Spitfire" a lot easier. Thank you again Jiri.

Hello Ed, it is good see my work on the other models. I admire the paint of your stacks the look realistically! Nice job Ed! Thank you very much for your pictures.
I wish to have some much time for my models. I was only in two time at the airfield, and my B.T. Spitfire still lie in my workshop.

It´s time to make some other steps. I stil want to have a to pieces wing. The first idea was about two aluminum or fiber carbon tubes. When I tried to bend some aluminium tube to angle 7.5 degrees the tube didn´t keep the round shape. If I wold use direct tube, it would go only through two ribs.
Probably I will decide for two aluminium stands (bars). The first one would be in the main girder and the second one in the rear girder.
The main one would be make from 4 mm aluminum bar and the rear one from 2.5 or 3 mm bar. You can see my idea in the shots. The wing bars would go through five ribs.
What do you think about my solution?
For those who has H9 Spitifre. How long are the wing tubes? And is it direct?

There is a build thread on this plane here..http://www.rcscalebuilder.com/forum/...630&PN=2&TPN=5. You could look to see how the wing is built and get some ideas.
