RC Aerodyne Super Scale B-25 Yellow Rose
Just ordered the Super Scale B-25 Yellow Rose. The plane is a all composite construction with great detail. It has a 82" wingspan. It includes scale struts and wheels and electric retracts. I have a pair of DLE 20cc rear exhaust that I will be using for power. Will post pic. when it arrives next week.

I really considered this purchase but decided against it. It is marketed as "Super Scale", is $2,000, yet shares a very common, very noticeable scale error that you see on the much smaller, much cheaper, foamie B-25s. Namely, as long as the landing gear is down, the big landing gear doors are open. Take a look at a photo of a full scale B-25 on the ground. Those doors are open only so long as it takes to extend or retract the landing gear and then they close back up with only a very small section of door still open, just enough to allow for the struts.
In my opinion, leaving these doors open, as on this model, just looks goofy and cheap. At the very least, this B-25 should come with comprehensive instructions for setting the gear doors up so they close back up when the gear is down. Probably not too great a challenge for an experienced modeler to do this for themselves but for $2,000 it should come ready to be set up where the doors actually work as per the full scale.

The B-25 is a very good kit. It has lots of scale detail. The hardware is very good that comes with it also. The gear doors would be a easy modification to do to have them close with the gear down by just adding a door sequencer and notching around the strut. Cliff at Aerodyne is great to deal with. I also think that for a limited time you get a pair of free Scorpion motors. The plane is electric only. I have two of there P-51s and building there A-10.

I've got a Top Flite B-25 that's ready to run. Unfortunately I just don't have the time to fly it and it's a shame to just let it sit when someone could be enjoying it. I'll attach some pictures and please spread the work if you know anyone interested in a Top Flite B-25. I'm only asking $750 for a turn key system with Satio 4 strokes, Electro Dynamics onboard glow and I did the servo conversion so the gear doors go up and down with the flip of a switch rather than the spring loaded factory design. Alternatively, I'll keep the Saito engines and onboard glow system and you can have the plane for an electric conversion if you so choose...$625 without engines. That includes the ARF, all Futaba servos, onboard wiring, robart retracts and struts and robart wheels. There are lights installed in the wings as well!
