My Feedback: (2)

Hi Guys,
Would anyone know whether this kit differs from the TBM 93" Zero? Believe it or not, I own the TBM kit I purchased 13 years ago, still new in the box excluding a manual for some reason. I likely removed it and set it aside somewhere? Curious whether the manual for this kit differs?
Thanks,
Raz

Awesome pics Darod!
I have over 100 flights on mine now, the first 10 flights was more like trying to keep it alive as it wanted to fall apart in the air, the wings almost completely folded in flight, the canopy cover ejected in flight. The gear mounts are strong but everywhere around it is like eggshell. Wings repaired several times and the fiberglass reinforcement inside the wing during the repair really helped made it stronger. Replacing the wood support for the wing plug was necessary. Replace the rear tube spar with a carbon rod as the stock one is very weak. Mine looks like it was through hell and back, but still flies great! I have a GT80 in mine with Sierra gears and a Robart tail retract.

Looks you model was manufactured during sunday night shift...
I replaced all tube spars with carbon fibre. Significant weight reduction as all are behind CG so I was able to remove some lead from the cowling.
I stop counting how many flights I made but sure more then 150. So far no issues bu I always fly scale like, max speed about 150 km/h during fast passes.
Now it's winter so Zero is resting on the shelf waiting for next season...
On the picture my 2 best flyers, small one is foamy FMS 1400mm which I also converted into the Rufe version.

I wish all Zero owners happy flying and succesful landings!

Hi everyone,
as my Zero is now almost ready to go, I wonder, if the control throws as in the manual are correct?!
Did you adjust anything?
Are 40mm for full landing flaps enough, or do you use more?
How is your CG?
Thank you,
Best regards,
Juergen

Blackbox, The recommended CG is 145mm. I like mine at around 155mm back. I do have a large fuel tank, and usually land with fuel on board. I'd say 150mm would be a good point to start at.
I have my flaps set to more than 40mm. I can't say I use full flaps that much. I just like having the option. I also have a bit of down elevator mixed with the flaps. it helps to make the plane settle on landing, not loft so much.
Control throws aren't a bad starting point. You can adjust for personal taste.
I just finished my third Zero (built one for a friend).

Craig, the ball links are from MPJet, a Czech company.
https://mpjet.com/shop/gb/682-ball-links
I don‘t know where to get those or similar parts in the US.
At first, I only cut the openings for the hinges and glued them in. Thereafter, I installed all parts of the linkage. Then I cut free the flaps and installed the rest…
Hope it works fine in flight.
