Hey Guys,

Here's the video from our first ever Flying Circus event. Last Saturday we had torrential rain and high winds durring the day and then the weather broke and we flew until dark. The later event time (4-9pm) worked to our advantage as we would have totally rained out otherwise.

I know that many stayed home due to the weather but we still had flyers from several other clubs both flying and watching.

The guys that flew had a great time !! We flew several individual flights and 3 group flights with up to 8 WWI aircraft in the air enjoying the evening flights.

Our CD came dressed in a 100% accurate Red Baron uniform and we followed his lead as best we could.....

During the event we remembered both the history of the poppy and the Christmas Truce with special PA based introduction stories.

I can hardly wait for next year and to do this when we have better weather !!!

I would just like to start out the new calendar year by posting our 2nd annual Warbirds & classics event in Monticello IL.

The dates we have set for it are September 14th-16th. But if you want to come early don't be afraid to as the field will be open all week.

Hope to see you this year as we had a great time at last years event..

I ran 2 giant scale events this year. One was giant scale and the other was warbirds and classics. Most of the club members ignored both. Seven or so of the Faithful attended, but that was about it.

Apathy seems to be the norm anymore.

Default Warbird event in Alabama

Afternoon everyone,

There will be a warbird fly-in at the Auburn, AL Planesmen R/C field on October 28, 2017. We've had giant scale warbird events for the last few years and have enjoyed them. We are making a change this year and making this event open to any warbird of any size, any power system and any era. If you have a Spad, bring it out. F-18? Come on. Anything that was in some way used in a military capacity is welcome. The official event day is Saturday the 28th but the field will be open for flying all day Thursday and Friday. We are located at a private airport, grass field low cut about 700 feet long. There are no obstacles anywhere, the place is wide open. We'll be having lunch on Saturday. Cost is $15 per pilot. AMA is required naturally but that's about it. You can camp with us in tents, RV's or whatever but there are no hookups. Restaurants are available within 20 minutes and though this is a college town there is not a home game that weekend. Hotel rooms won't be a problem. So come on out and fly!! Weather should be great and it's the best time of the year around here. Questions, contact me here or call 334-444-4097 any time. We hope to see you here.

Rick H.
