Default Seagull dewoitine d520

Hi all
just want to share my little effort to improve the look of this really nice ARF
i already did the maiden, and i have to say that she flyes really well!!

the engine is a DLE20; the flights done with a TF 15x6-10 prop,
i had only a minor problem with one retract (from e-flite), that ended in a gear up landing and a broken prop.
now i solved & fixed the gear (i hope!)

and then i decided to add some cosmetic touch: panel lines!
what i did was cutting small stripes from self adhesive solarfilm applied one by one

even the cockpit is custumized: new pilot, new panel, new rear structure and new paint job
the original cannot be considered a warbird cockpit.

next improvement could be the tail gear

Alessandro

Alexssandro 78, your Dewotine looks great. The change of the pilot and cockpit really makes a difference. I have one with a RCGF 26 engine with pitts muffler. Spring Air Retracts and struts from Hobby King. I raked the gear forward because of our grass runway. I changed the servo mount so the servos are completely in the wings . agree it is a good flying plane because it is light. Be careful of sudden pull ups or too tight turns too low because it can snap on you. Here is mine. I just used matt clear to take the shine off. I intend to change the pilot but have not done so as yet. About 30 flights on this plane. No body at the field knew what it was.
