Default F6F Hellcat

Does anyone know what colors the 3 lights are on the bottom of the fuse on the F6F Hellcat. I can't seem to find any information in any of the "Detail" books. I need to know the colors starting from the wing going back to the tail. Also there is a light on the bottom left wing that I think is white but not sure. Any help would be appreciated.

Red, blue-green and amber in that order. They were recognition lights and could be set to flash the code of the day. Don

Don,
Thanks for the information on the 3 lights. Do you know if the light on the bottom of the left wing is white?

I to am building a Hellcat and my documentation I have showns the recognition lights on the bottom view drawing I have, but makes no mention of them. On the cut-away view it shows a recognition light and another light behind the cockpit on top of the turtle deck about a third of the way back to the fin, and also the wingtip lights. Is there a source of info from Grumman or someone else that has the real technical drawings or other detailed info that was used to build the real thing? Would Grumman still have this info?

Bottom left is a retractable landing light. So yes it does have a clear lens. Don

OK Guys.... were are you finding all your documentation at for the F6 ?
Is there a good online source? I am in process of re-doing a GSP hellcat and would love to look at some pics online , if possible.
Many thanks!!! John
