Any suggestions for painting a checkerboard pattern on the cowl of my Flair/GSP P-51?
I was trying to think of the best way to do it but could use some help!
Cheers.

Thanks for the link, going to persevere and do the ol' yellow and black checker pattern on the nose.
Toying with the idea of painting a whole yellow nose (The first Fokker P-51
) then painting a black checker pattern over the top. Got plenty of time and a nice environment to do it in!

Paint the yellow base color, then apply liquid masking. Cut and peel the masking in areas for the black checkers, and paint. Then peel the remaining masking. It is very easy.

It has an article by a Joe Besher that describes the uses of Liquid Masking.
Sources for the Masking.

Hi Gibb,
Where do you find liquid masking? Is there a brand name you recommend?
Thanks.
