Eric,
I like the Nelson Hobby system 3 paint. It comes in all of the military colors (just provide the FS number). It is water based polyurethane, dries in minutes and does not smell.
Check out the web site, and call Jerry for more information. He is a great guy to talk to.

cknaak,
lusterkote is quite a good quality paint, it covers well and has a wide range of pre-mixed colours and suits those without spray equipment.
I would not use it myself for say a camo job as you have very little control over the spray and it is very easy to get runs using an aerosol can -just ask all the grafitti vandals!
If you just want a basic colour top and botto then they are probably good for that, provided you use light coats and build the colour up to avoid the dreaded runs.
my 2 bobs worth
cheers
Peter

I agree with Peter_oz , Lusterkote paint is only good for grafitti vandals. The paint is too thin and runs, besides you have to spend a fortune to paint a plane. If you are really serious about painting a warbirds I suggest you consider automotive paint and start mixing your own colors. Mixing colors is not very easy but once you mastered it then with only three colors you can mix any color you wish, this is a freedom that is not enjoyed by those who buy premixed paint.

Perfect Paint is far better and more fuel proof. Works fine with inexpensive spray equipment and dries fast enough.
Haven't tried Nelson's stuff yet. I just like Perfect.
