Hi Guys,
New to RCU and I love the wealth of material. I know it might seem like I'm still in the stone age, but I have been building & designing cardboard models for over 30 years some of which you might have seen as construction articles. All of them are what I would term 'stand-off scale', including WW1 & WW2 configs. If you would like to see photos & construction details, visit http://home.earthlink.net/~charlesfelton and let me hear some comments. Regards, Chuck Felton

Those are cool, I've seen a lot of those in the magazines over the years. I built a replacement fuselage for an Ugly Stick out of cardboard, and it worked good, anytime I get a box big enough made from the right kind of cardboard I stick it in the attic just so I can try some more, now I just need some time. Right now I'm thinkin formers and wing ribs and such, but I may tackle a whole airplane.
Thanks for a great web site, I bookmarked it for future reference.

Thanks for the comments. If you've done a fuselage and plan to do formers and ribs, why not the whole airplane! Sounds like you're almost there. To see what a really skilled modeler can do with cardboard, check out the Macchi C202 & Dewoitine 520 pics made from my plans and built by Fabio and Gabriele Macri of Italy. Gives us all something to shoot for. Chuck
