Proctor Nieuport 28 aileron hinge question
Anyone out their who has built or is building or otherwise knows the answer, I ask the following question.
In the instructions for building and hinging the ailerons, the manual mentions using 1/32" shims but in no way states where or in what way they should be used. I can't find a view on the plans that shows shims either. Does anyone know where the shims go?
Thanks,
Jeff

RE: Proctor Nieuport 28 aileron hinge question
Jeff, I think the instructions are refering to using 1/32 shims between the tailing edge of the wing and the leading edge of the aileron. This way when you install the plastic hinge halves over the aileron tube, you'll know where to drill the holes in the wings trailing edge for the hinges and you end up with a nice constant 1/32 gap. Does this make sense?
