Default Convert to tail dragger?

I would like to convert my trike to tail dragger. I am supposing the landing gear has to be farther forward for proper balance. How far forward?
Also how can I link the tail wheel to the rudder? Do I have to?
Thanks,
Laurence

Depends on what type of plane you have. The front wheel will be at the leading edge or a little further forward, your choice.
Linking the tail wheel? Well, once again, what plane is it? Ive ran my PT-40 with not link, ive seen a LT-40 as well with no linkage. Mainly, it there is enough rudder area to turn it, you dont need it.
