Can someone tell me what size gas engine will fit inside the cowl without mods. I have a G-38, but looks as if the plug and plug wire extend outside the cowl. Thanks for help.

I built one with a Brison 2.4 and the plug and wire is the only thing that sticks out. i have seen some with g38's and 62's both required hole in bottom for the head to stick out. Vic G.

I don't have anything against glow, but would prefer gas, I use four stroke glows, but don't really care for 2 strokes anymore. No reason except clean-up, and different engines run better on different type fuels, One uses 30% the other 20/20, and another 15/18. Gas is gas, high test and amsoil. They all run fine on it.

I will be test flying it soon but the cowl needs to be cut on the bottom slightly for the cylinder head, plug, and wire to stick through. I have heard from other sources that the Zenoah's also require modification for the head to clear.

Zero engines...
Would you believe, a friend of mine had a G-62 in his. Yes the head stuck out, but it wasnt very offensive. Needed the weight anyway. It was a bullet, and would have been faster had he used a prop to put the engine into the power band.
A g38 will fit inside, a g45 is better for power and for having fun, the 38 will be on the weak side...
Glow is great,

Though this is a Bert Baker, it has all the deminsions of the Yellow Aircraft. Flown with a Moki 1.8, it was hot. The only warbird I could or rather would do non scale aerobatics with. (what ever that means)
