I'll bet you will find that the Tiffie is a tough plane to model. The short nose will make it end up heavy when balanced and for the average user, very unfriendly. If modeled as an ARF, my money says she'll have a hose nose and won't fit the image of a scale model. Giant scale planes (CM) does a pretty good fudge job with their FW 190 and Zero, but they do end up having some weight to them. I would say if anyone does one, it'll be a china models deal.

And Besides, why would you want a typhoon when there are so many shiny P-51's to choose from ?.......hah ! joke of course.

I fight a battle at least once a week as to which Vailly Hawker model I'll do next, the Typhoon, the hotrod with muscles like Arnie or the businessman like lines of the beloved Hurri.............tough call

I'd trade my FW for a tiffie anyday !

This is the one project I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO DO. As a long term project this would be the mut's nut's

Has anyone done any scale drawings.

This is surely to nice an aircraft not to have been looked at.

Maybe you are right S1, it might not be feasible [][][][]

It just looks so bloody good

Bob Holman http://www.bhplans.com/ has a Typhoon laser cut kit, plans from Brian Taylor. The closest thing to an ARF Check it out. There are several threads on this subject.

Well, it will take a lot of work and time to get that Typhoon kit to an ARF stage.
