Default tf giant p-47 gear mods

Anybody use carbon fiber or glass to strengthen the retract rails in the wing. I have a tf giant with 80 flights and the wing and gear are getting beat so im building a new wing. Any comments or ideas would be appreciated.

what about some sort of subspar to distribute the stresses?

If you beef up in one area only the stress will only reappear elsewhere, you need to distribute outwards

cheers

Sounds like the loads need to be distributed over to the adjacent ribs. And make them ply too. I've havent gotten to the wing on mine yet. Repairing the summers carnage. Should get back on it in a few weeks. I've seen Lenny (454 guy) do this in foam wings that looked pretty strong to me.

MIDWEST PRODUCTS COMPANY now has an excellent selection of 2foot lengths (various shapes Carbon Fiberthe price is very reasonable and found at any well stocked hobby shop. A while lack I had a wing failure on a greased in landing what a sound what a sight every one was surprised. As luck would have it the failure did not occur while I was pouring the coal to that pumped O.S.120 4/C going through some pretty high G maneuvers.
