ME 190E
Hello Fellow Flyers,
After going to the NATS in Muncie this year I have a burning desire to build a ME 190E. I just love the way it looks and flys.
Does anyone know of a kit or plans available?
Thanks for any help.
Wes

RE: ME 190E
I've cut the ribs and formers for a Taylor 69" version. Now simply to find time to frame it up. The Taylor plans are fantastic. If I had to do it again, I would have gotten the laser cut short kit from Bob Holman, seems cheap enough to save time cutting from the plan templates. This one's a bit bigger than the Skyshark model, and still builds light enough to power it with a .60 size motor. You could easily blow up the plans and still have the parts laser cut for you from a kit cutter. I know others have modified the Meister G model at 84" into an E version by simply changing one of the forward formers. You can check around to find out more on this. Though the 69" Taylor is a little small for my liking, I too liked the E version and trusted the Taylor design to be a good flyer as a build from plans plane. The Skyshark kit is pretty nice from what I've seen.

I would agree that the PCM isn't so much an arf as it is a kit that simply uses foam and glass. Much work to be done on it as is illustrated by the various building journals of several online.

RE: ME 190E
you are correct, its not an ARF. I bought mine in November of 2003, and maidened it in September of this year. it is a great foundation to begin with to build the best 1/4 scale 109 out there. my avatar is mine on its landing from final in Texas, thanks to Evan Quiros. you cant go wrong with their kits. its up to the modeler of course to detail to the level needed.
I understand the the Avi8tor, and devi8tor are both awsume jets as well! and, you also cant go wrong with one of there L1011's
