Default TF P-47 ARF?

I heard Top Flite may be bringing out a P-47 ARF?ARC similar to the P-51 in giant scale.
Has anyone else heard or can confirm this

I emailed TF to ask them but they didn't reply. It is the only time that they never returned my email. Makes me wonder because I have wanted one for a while and would like to build an ARC more than do it from scratch. Not to mention there price is great. I built there Mustang and was impressed with the ARF and it flies great. I keep waiting hoping that we hear something after the LA show.

O'Boy [X(]here we go again hope Mark Shapiro dosen't see this He'll go nuts.[sm=spinnyeyes.gif] See Mfranke Mark started a post on this very subject and it exploded on him and he stated that he was sorry he brought the subject up. Well anyway this is still the rumor. I think it will be a reality thou. If you want to READ his post it's still up just do a search on P-47 ARF you'll find it. Doug

HAPPY NEW YEARS TO ALL!!!

MFRANKE
You didn't stir anything up I was just tring to be comical!! [sm=lol.gif]I'm Sorry, I guess I won't quit my day job. The only thing that gets me is I purchased the kit haven't had time to build it and now they may come out with a ARF just my luck. I guess if TF comes out with the 47 ARF I could sell the kit and buy the ARF. Have a great one!!!!

Im finishing up the covering on my TF GS 47, should be ready to fly about early Feb. Maybe my timing will be good and the ARF will come out at that time [:@][:@] Then everyone can ask if thats the new ARF! The same thing happened with my 51 which of course I covered in BigB Doll schematic. Who knows the timing could help out[&:]. Just kidding the more 47's in the air the better, to many Hovering electrics at my field anyhow.
Happy New Year

Hi Kirk,

I sort of got behind on my P-47.. at least I covered the ailerons last weekend. It has gotten mighty cold and my workshop is still in the garage due to all the relatives showing up for Christmas.

I must be secretly stalling and hoping the ARF will come out so i wont have to finish mine ! lol

Let us know when you are planning on test flying it i would love to be there !

Alan

Samparfitt,
I am with you on this one...Geez, What gives???????? They would probably sell more of these than those P-51D's.....I think th eP-51D looks great for an ARF... Imagine what a P-47 will look like with the engine enclosed and a Big Motor under the Cowl ...
They got to release it this SUmmer/Fall....I dont see what they are waiting for....Perhaps it will be a ARF CORSAIR>...I am soo waiting this out....

One rumor I heard was that there next one is a B-25 ARC. Guess we will have to see. If they come out with one at the price of the P-51 it will be my next plane then. Always wanted a Jug.

Thought I'd revive this old thread now that I have seen Top Flite P-47 ARF parts coming soon on the Tower website! No pictures yet but they have a few replacement part web pages under construction. I hope they have made provisions for electric conversion.
