Pete,
i have not built one of their kits but a very good friend of mine is good mates with the owner and says they are a good kit but you need to be an advanced builder as the destructions are kind of sparse. He has built and flies the Yak kit. Great flyer.

I have looked over the booklet for the P40 and it gives you what you need to know but you need to be a good builder to think it out.

I have seen 2 of the P40s on the warbird cct here and they fly delightfully, one has a G62 fitted and is very light and goes like a scalded cat. Typical P40 tencdencies but nothing nasty.

I will be getting the P40 myself later in the year and I'm very comfortable handing over my $$ for one. As for retracts talk to Peter Gow of Custom retracts in Sydney, he has the gear for the full range.

Hope this helps.

cheers
PEter

What is their actual address? I went to www.modeldesign.com and it took me to a company in the Carolinas which has nothing to do with airplanes. Just curious.

many thanks Peter for the advice..
they sound like good kits in about 1/4 to 1/5 scale and at a great price. of course the 3W engine is good value as well.
can you clarify just what you mean by good builder tho..are the instructions that vague?
regards Peter

Pete,
vauge nope but they assume you either have expereince scratch building or are a very advanced kit builder. Same as for CJM or any of those kits.

cheers
Peter
