Default KMP new P-47

Mr. Kondor attached this pic for me when I asked some question
about P-47. He said this new P-47 would be coming soon.
The tail gear is in a right position and overall appearance is impressive.

I really doubt that the photo is of the ARF or any ARF. The detail is too good for one.

My guess is that the wingspan will be around 70", just like their Mustang, Hurricane, and Sea Fury.

I don't know whether this P-47 is an ARF or a wood kit and
how big it is, but I thought it ARF of the same size since he
said this "new P-47" in the answer for my question about
P-47 ARF 120 size being sold now.
However, I also doubted that this pic was of an ARF at first
since it looked too nice for an ARF.
My speculation is that we have to get the gears separately.

HI Guys:

Our P-47 will looks almost exactly like that BUT... it will not have a sliding canopy and Oleo struts. The wings and tail are all Solartex Fabric with the checkers painted right on the plane... the wing span is about 72 inches... The fuse is all glass and finished seamlessly.. no joints anywhere. .. no foam anywhere. Yes, it is ARF

We will have them in about 3 weeks.

Cheers,
Andrew[sm=cool.gif]

Andrew,

O.K., no, struts, but is it set up for retracts?

And...how much $?

Yes, Air retarcts are included with the plane. They spring down if the air pressure drops.

the price of the plane will be 449.95

thanks for the info looks like another winner from you. I have to ask about the tailwheel, is it going to be retractable?

If the P-47 is anything like the Hurricane, it will be a great looking plane. I have a Hurricane completed, just waiting for some good weather for it's maiden voyage.

Web site states 67", shows the checker-tail, when you click on pics or specs, an ugly overdone aluminum scheme pops up. Don't look like it's worth $450.00!

I just picked one of these up today at my LHS and it looks like a nice kit. I have had my eye on it for several weeks now and I did a little research finding nothing negative or positive but I did find a build thread on here about the hurricane from KMP and it had good marks so I bought it.

I have to agree that the aluminum finish didn't strike my fancy but the olive drab green version looks really nice. I think with a few scale additions... oleo struts, some weathering, maybe add gun barrels, etc. it will be a very nice looking plane.

I saw this plane at Toledo also.
As with all the planes I have seen from KMP,
I challenge anyone to build a better plane for the same price.
In my life time IS money.

I wanted to take that plane home but it would not fit in the overhead bin.

I think KMP is one of the best warbird ARF manufacturers around.

Sure beats what Hangar 9 or what Tower has to offer.

Go ahead everyone FLAME ON............ Its a FREE country

the hurricane looks amazing and the P-47 looks real nice too. There seems to be alot of nice stuff coming out lately. I know I wouldnt or couldnt build one for less.

It's a toy plane, fly it and have fun. If you scrap it on a hot landing or stupid low altitude trick, chuck it and buy another... its good for the economy and our hobby. Scale lines and exact detail is stupid to argue about. No wonder our wives and girlfriends think we're wierd.

KMP, I like your stuff. keep it up.
