Default Composit ARF/Fiberclassic P-51 enigne selection

Gentelmen,
I have a 3W-70 rear induction carb engine looking for a new home. Is this enough power for the CompARF/Fiberclassics P-51?

I would say it will fly it well. A G-62 would fly it OK as long as you don't over load it with options. You should check the other thread concerning this topic you will find two of them I am presently working on. One has a 3-W 75cc rear induction installed, the other a 5.8 (95 cc) First Place engine installed. It also depends on what you expect from the airplane. Unlimited vertical will be out of the question. I would think with the 70 cc engine, It should fly it very scale.

Thanks Gary. Usually I like to have a little extra power available when I need it. My opinion is that the 70cc is probably just a little light on the power for this big airplane, but I do welcome other opinions.

Hey your welcome sir. I would agree the 70cc will be light if you want to fly around at half throttle and fly at good airspeeds. That is why I put the 95cc engine in mine. LOL
