Hanger 9 .60 Corsair CG
Hi all,
I've aquired a .60 size Corsair by Hanger 9 with no book or CG marks. Having done a search, I see that the CG in the book is wrong.
could someone suggest the proper CG?
Thanks in advance!
John

RE: Hanger 9 .60 Corsair CG
Hello Richard L,
I was given your name by a local flyer here in Mesa, AZ as having helped him with the CG of the Hanger 9 Corsair. I just read this post and will check the CG when I get there. The wing is done, and I'm mounting the RCV 120 on a 3/4 Spacer plate with the stock (RCV) behind the firewall reinforcing plate. I also followed te prior recomendations to reinforce the firewall and made new LG links from Rocket city ball links I had in stock.
I've "dyed" all the white nylon horns and bellcranks so they blend a little better.
Do you have any suggestions for additional mods you feel could or should be done?
Can't wait to put it in the air !
Thanks for your help !!
Roxanne

Hi Roxanne,
Since the RCV 120 is a fairly heavy engine, try to move everything back as far as you can. I had to add some lead to my tail, and my YS 110 is lighter than the RCV 120. If you haven't glued the vertical fin and rudder to the fuselage, then it would be beneficial to insert a carbon fiber rod through the vertical fin to keep it from breaking just in case the plane flips over. Also insert a carbon fiber rod through the rear stab if you are ambitious (you will need a long drill bit).
