Mark. Thanks
It would be nice to have some opposition up there. Just fly your hellcat that little closer and all will look good.
Kmot. There is a lot of wood to give in that model

Would love to see this video but when I "right click/save as" I get a tiny file that won't play...Media Player says the .wmv extension isn't correct. Not having any problems with other videos on RCU, so not sure why this one won't work.

RE: Ali's Zero FULL VIDEO
Well that is a great video and an Awsome Zero!! I would dream of building, owning and flying a bird like that. I looked into the Mackay Radial motor and well it looks like I will just have to keep dreaming. Just the cost of the engine with out taxes, duties and shipping is $4,509.16 Canadian dollars [X(]
United Kingdom Pounds = 4,509.16 CAD Canada Dollars
1 GBP = 2.34242 CAD 1 CAD = 0.426908 GBP

I know the radial is not cheap I look at it as the same value as a turbine, but the radial gives me more plesure to run. Go on make take the plunge, sell a Kidney if you have to its worth it
Sorry I have no pics of the build. I purchased two of these models from the same guy already built.

RE: Ali's Zero FULL VIDEO
Thanks a lot guys. The Zero is in the shop at the moment having some new retracts fitted. The model was supplied with Robart units and these failed while taxing for the third flight [:@]
After trying everyone that i could in the UK with no joy, and then emailing every supplier and their dog I was at a bit of a loss, until I got in touch with sierra precision!
Because is was a robart unit in their and it was a fairly special shape it needed a unit that was as close as possible so it could be a easy fit. As modifying the built up wing would be hard.
Within 14 days I had the most beautiful set of retracts I have ever seen (and I have had a few different retracts that i thought were good) Amazing build quality, high grade aluminum, constructed to withstand full on ware fare, and a cylinder that looks as if it would open the bow doors on a cruise ship. exactly what i wanted and cheaper than what a Robart set would cost me in the UK. Sorry to rattle on but I was so happy, because at the time I thought I was condemned to using Robarts and this would have been the Achilles heel of this model.
Anyway while it is in the shop I am fitting a pair of drop able bombs and a releasable drop tank just for kicks. So I hope that in the next 3-4 weeks it should be ready for a nother set of test flight So I Will have the video at hand for these. What I am not sure about is that with all these mods if it will weigh in over 20KG If it does then I have to go through a series of test flights and checks to allow me to fly it in the UK. It would be nice if I could avoid this but if it has to be then it has to be.

RE: Ali's Zero FULL VIDEO
Ali,
your Zero is definitely one of the nicest examples I've seen over the years. Great paint scheme, great engine choice, great flying!
Fantastic video - saved for those moments when I need that "push" on modeling projects.
My Ziroli Zero-2nd one w/ hundred's of flights. I thought about enlarging the Zero plans, but chose to do an enlarged Ziroli Dauntless.
I'll be looking forward to the next video with the bombs/drop tank.
